NECK AND SPINAL PAIN

Neck pain is a common, age-related condition that affects the joints and discs in one’s neck. It develops from wear and tear of the cartilage and bones found in cervical spine of the neck.

Common symptom includes pain around the shoulder blade, a stiff neck that becomes worse with time, headaches that mostly occur in the back of the head, tingling or numbness that mainly affects shoulders and arms, although it can also occur in the legs

What causes neck pain?

Causes of neck pain include:

  • Aging, symptoms notice at age 20-50
  • Arthritis of other joints, back, shoulder
  • Years of constant abnormal pressure or poor posture on the vertebrae, and the discs between them
  • Other reasons.
